Meet Paprika 🌶️
Paprika is an 8-year-old Jenny who came to Layla Rose Ranch as part of the same beloved herd of miniature donkeys surrendered through a thoughtful and loving decision. Her previous owner cared deeply for the herd but, due to health challenges, could no longer provide the level of daily care they needed. Wanting to ensure their continued well-being, she entrusted Paprika and her companions to us.
Paprika has a steady, gentle temperament and a quiet confidence that reflects her maturity. She is comfortable with routine, enjoys the company of other donkeys, and finds reassurance in familiar surroundings. Having always lived as part of a herd, she thrives when she has another miniature donkey nearby.
For this reason, Paprika’s ideal home must include another miniature donkey, or adopters should be willing to adopt a pair. Donkeys are highly social animals and depend on companionship from their own kind. Horses are not appropriate companions for miniature donkeys, as they do not meet the same emotional and social needs.
Paprika would be a wonderful match for an adopter who understands miniature donkey care and values consistency, companionship, and gentle handling. In return, she offers calm affection, dependable companionship, and a meaningful bond.
