Meet Cinnamon 🍂

Cinnamon is a 4-year-old miniature donkey who came to Layla Rose Ranch as part of the same cherished herd of miniature donkeys surrendered through a deeply loving and responsible decision. His previous owner cared for the herd very much but, due to health challenges, could no longer provide the consistent care they required. Wanting the very best for them, she entrusted Cinnamon and his companions to us so they could continue to thrive.

Cinnamon is a gelding (formerly a jack), and he has settled in nicely with a calm, steady temperament. He enjoys routine, gentle interaction, and—most importantly—the companionship of other miniature donkeys. Having grown up as part of a herd, Cinnamon feels most secure when he has a donkey friend by his side.

Because of his strong social needs, Cinnamon’s ideal home must include another miniature donkey, or adopters should be willing to adopt a pair. Donkeys form deep bonds with their own kind, and horses are not appropriate companions for miniature donkeys, as they do not fulfill the same social or emotional needs.

Cinnamon would do best with adopters who understand miniature donkey care and are committed to providing companionship, consistency, and a calm environment. In return, he offers gentle affection, quiet charm, and the opportunity for a meaningful, lasting bond.

Cinnamon’s story began with love, and we are dedicated to ensuring his next chapter is filled with stability, kindness, and connection. If you believe your home could be the right match for Cinnamon, we would love to hear from you. 💛
