Meet Thyme 🌿
Thyme is a gentle miniature donkey who came to Layla Rose Ranch as part of the same close-knit herd of miniature donkeys surrendered through a deeply loving and selfless decision. Her previous owner cared for the herd very much but, due to health challenges, could no longer provide the level of daily care they required. Wanting the very best for them, she entrusted Thyme and her companions to us so they could continue to receive proper care and stability.
Thyme has a calm, thoughtful personality and finds comfort in the presence of other donkeys. She has always lived as part of a herd and is thriving with consistent care, good nutrition, and the reassurance that comes from donkey companionship.
Because of her social nature, Thyme’s ideal home must include another miniature donkey, or adopters should be willing to adopt a bonded pair. Donkeys rely on other donkeys for emotional well-being, and horses are not appropriate companions for miniature donkeys, as they do not meet the same social and behavioral needs.
Thyme would do best with adopters who understand miniature donkey care and are committed to providing companionship, routine, and a calm environment. In return, she offers gentle affection, quiet charm, and a deeply rewarding bond.
