Ideal Forever Home: Darla is looking to be a best friend to you or one of your other horses. While she is rideable, we think that with all she has been through and the trauma with her feet (now healed) she’s best served in this role.

Darla has not had the best life so far. She has been tossed around and used as a brood mare. Her latest filly was stripped from her at auction before she was weined. Her feet were so sore that we suspected something bad, but x-rays and exams showed all normal. In fact, it was a actually a really bad hoof trim that caused her to be on the ground and develop an absess.
Good news for Darla – those days are all behind her. She mixes well with other horses. It has been a few years since she was used as a trail horse, so we are putting Darla up for adoption as a companion horse. She has been through too much to start over.
