Current Status: Unfortunately, during his intake exams, we found that he had a large fatty lipoma that was twisted around his intestines and cutting them off. We tried everything, but there was nothing we could do. The truth is, if we had not picked him up, there is a chance he would have been down in the pasture for 2 full days in severe pain before passing. No reflection on his previous owner. You never would have known his situation since it is internal and we only found after doing the scans. They were doing their best for him by sending him to us.
Although we only had him for a few hours, we made sure his passing was as pain free as possible.
Ideal Forever Home: Red is looking to be a friend to you and other horses. We will decide his forever home plan as we get to know him better.
Intake Report: Red was surrendered to us from someone who was moving and could not take him with them. He has been living in a large pasture for a couple of years without any saddle time. He allowed us to halter and he loaded when we picked him up. His movement was fine and we will work on his vaccines, COGGINS and teeth.
