Ginger is a 4-year-old Jenny who came to Layla Rose Ranch as part of the same cherished herd of miniature donkeys surrendered through an act of deep love and responsibility. Her previous owner cared for the herd dearly but, due to health challenges, could no longer provide the consistent care they required. Wanting the very best for them, she entrusted Ginger and her companions to us so they could continue to thrive.
Ginger is young, curious, and full of quiet personality. She enjoys routine, gentle interaction, and the comfort that comes from being part of a donkey herd. Having grown up with other miniature donkeys, she feels most secure and confident when she has a donkey companion by her side.
Because of her strong social nature, Ginger’s ideal home must include another miniature donkey, or adopters should be willing to adopt a bonded pair. Donkeys rely on other donkeys for emotional well-being, and horses are not suitable companions for miniature donkeys, as they do not meet the same social and behavioral needs.
Ginger would thrive with adopters who understand miniature donkey care and are committed to providing companionship, consistency, and a safe, nurturing environment. In return, she offers gentle affection, youthful charm, and the promise of a lasting bond.
